St. Petersburg gradually eases the regime of restrictions

On June 25, 2020, the Governor Alexander Beglov amended the decree of the Government of St. Petersburg No. 121 “On measures to counteract the spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in St. Petersburg” dated March 13, 2020.

The Federation Council approved the draft law allowing tenants to refuse to perform lease agreements

June 2, 2020, the Federation Council approved the draft law No. 953580-7 “On amendments to certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation for the adoption of urgent measures aimed at ensuring sustainable economic development and mitigation of the spread of the new coronavirus infection” (hereinafter – the “draft law“) giving tenants of the most affected industries the right to unilaterally terminate the concluded lease agreements.

Starting as of June 9, 2020 the self-isolation regime, electronic passes, and scheduled walks for all residents of Moscow to be canceled. From the same date the following businesses resume functioning: beauty salons, photography shops, veterinary clinics etc.
